Receptionist - North Entrance (FT)
Work Hours: Tue - Fri
The receptionist is a highly visible, public relations position with significant customer contact. Main responsibility is to operate the telephone console; answer or direct in-house and incoming phone calls. The position requires interpersonal communication skills, typing, computer and ten-key calculator skills. The receptionist must be able to direct guests to various departments in the hospital. Attention to detail, as well as knowledge of hospital procedures is essential. This position is responsible for maintaining the hospital postage meter, sorting and directing incoming mail and processing outgoing mail. Position is responsible for receipting and directing payments paid by guests at front desk and processing credit card payments. The position is responsible for handling and balancing the petty cash boxes. Accepts responsibility in performing secretarial duties and other tasks assigned Admissions Supervisor.
Education: Experience or training in hospital or healthcare office setting, customer relations, and telephone etiquette. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Requires ability to work cooperatively with other employees, other departments and the public. Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines is required. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and concentrate in a busy environment is required. Ability to use common computer system and business software is necessary.
Compensation: $15.00/hr - $17.25/hr, depending on experience.

PRN staff are not initially eligible for benefits, and GVH follows all Affordable Health Care Act Eligibility guidelines.
