Patient Navigator (Bilingual)
Work Hours: Monday-Friday 4 hour shifts
The Patient Navigator guides Spanish/Cora speaking patients through the healthcare process. They are responsible for ensuring that the healthcare system meets the needs of the patient as best as possible. The Navigator is committed to removing patient barriers to care by identifying critical resources, helping them navigate through health care services and systems and promoting patient health.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Experience: Previous experience with community advocacy for the immigrant and Spanish-speaking community preferred. Care coordination and/or case management experience is preferred but not required. Must be able to speak, read and write fluently in both the English and Spanish languages.
Licenses/Certification: Certified Medical Interpreter with Spanish/English language required.
Compensation: $22.33 - $26.79/hr, depending on experience.
Medical, dental, vision, health care FSA, and dependent care FSA: All active employees working 40 or more hours per pay period are eligible for benefits on the first of the month following date of hire. PRN staff are not initially eligible for benefits, and GVH follows all Affordable Health Care Act Eligibility guidelines.
