The Orthopedic Nurse Navigator is a Registered Nurse Professional who is an advocate, educator and experience guide for the surgical patient, as well as family members and significant others, through the total joint replacement and orthopedic continuum. Provides initial and on-going care coordination across all providers. Implements, coordinates and monitors care options, services and resources. Works to enhance the patient experience clinically and provide ongoing staff education in order to provide an exceptional patient experience.
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of three years’ experience in perioperative and orthopedic nursing. Experience in patient and nursing education. Strong organizational skills. Experience in patient navigation and history of successful program development preferred.
Licenses/ Certification: RN License current in the state of Colorado or compact state. Current BLS certification, ACLS maintenance expected*. ONC expected within first year of hire.
*Expected = if clinicians expire they must be signed up for the next available class after their expiration and per director discretion.
