This position upholds a positive culture and environment as a part of the Senior Care Center (SCC) Leadership Team, per the Gunnison Valley Health (GVH) Leadership Standards. This position’s goal is to provide an infection free environment for the facility, while providing continuous education and training for the SCC Nursing Team, and supporting the Nursing Administration team by rotating on call. Monitor staff attendance, assist the Director of Nursing with quarterly and as needed audits, attend monthly QAPI meetings. Collaborate with HR and Nursing Administration on the Absence Control Program. Collaborate with the DON on staffing needs for the Nursing Department. Provide Orientation and Onboarding for new staff per compliance guidelines.
This position may choose two 8-hour days and two 12-hour days per week, or three 12-hour days per week provided two of the days are during the business work week of M-F.
Education: Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree and a current RN license from the state of Colorado.
Experience: Must have a minimum, one (1) year experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other comparable institution. Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
Licenses/Certification: Current RN license in the state of Colorado. Must become certified as an Infection Preventionist upon hire into this role.
Compensation: $30.00/hr - $36.00/hr, depending on experience.
Medical, dental, vision, health care FSA, and dependent care FSA: All active employees working 40 or more hours per pay period are eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days of active service. PRN staff are not initially eligible for benefits, and GVH follows all Affordable Health Care Act Eligibility guidelines.
