The Specialist RN (S.RN) is responsible for educating all staff, contract labor, students and volunteers about infection prevention; development and maintenance of health system policies and procedures to insure rigorous infection control standards that meet TJC, Centers for Medicaid/Medicare Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other nationally organized agencies recommendations and requirements, supports other members of the Infection Prevention Team, and has an interest in a specialty area of nursing or willingness to obtain certification in a specialty of nursing. 

The successful candidate can work with the Department Supervisor on a flexible schedule that works for all parties.

Education: Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years as an acute care registered nurse. Demonstrated knowledge in infection control. 

Licenses/Certification: Current Colorado State licensure as a registered nurse. Specialty certification preferred (i.e. PICC Line certification, wound care nurse, etc.). Maintenance of current CPR or BLS

Compensation: $34.12/hr - $43.22/hr, depending on experience.

Benefits Eligibility

Medical, dental, vision, health care FSA, and dependent care FSA: All active employees working 40 or more hours per pay period are eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days of active service.  PRN staff are not initially eligible for benefits, and GVH follows all Affordable Health Care Act Eligibility guidelines.
