The Clinical Director will work under the Emergency Services Medical Director to develop and maintain the provider scope of practice, clinical care best practices, medical practice policies and guidelines at the Mountain Clinic and Urgent Care.  The Clinical Director will perform quality assurance reviews of the assigned providers.  Additionally, the Clinical Director will train, mentor, and monitor other providers including provider scheduling.  The Clinical Director will collaborate with the Nursing Supervisor(s), the Nursing Director of Emergency Services and the Chief Nursing Officer for clinic operations.  

The Clinical Director is a member of the GVH leadership team.

The Clinical Director also serves as a clinic provider for the Mountain Clinic and Urgent Care Clinic.

Family Nurse Practitioners (NP's) practice medicine unsupervised by a physicians. FNP's are formally trained to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services. They work as members of the medical staff; they take medical histories, examine and treat patients, order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays, and make diagnoses. They also treat minor injuries by suturing, splinting, and casting. NP’s record progress notes, instruct and counsel patients, and order or carry out therapy. They also prescribe medications in accordance with their certification..  

Physician Assistants (PA’s) practice medicine under a collaborative agreement with a supervising physician.  PA’s are formally trained to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventative health care services.  They work as members of the medical staff; they take medical histories, examine and treat patients, order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays, and make diagnoses. They also treat minor injuries by suturing, splinting, and casting.  PA’s record progress notes, instruct and counsel patients, and order or carry out therapy.  They also prescribe medications in accordance with their certification.

Compensation: $47.10/hr - $56.53/hr, depending on experience.

Benefits Eligibility

Medical, dental, vision, health care FSA, and dependent care FSA: All active employees working 40 or more hours per pay period are eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days of active service.  PRN staff are not initially eligible for benefits, and GVH follows all Affordable Health Care Act Eligibility guidelines.
