Position Summary
The Chief Executive Officer of Gunnison Valley Health is the head administrative official for the health system’s activities and is responsible for all aspects of the operations of the system. The CEO is hired for employment by the Board of Trustees is accountable to the Board of Trustees. The CEO will provide administrative oversight to all business, administrative and executive functions of the health system, consistent with and subject to the policies, procedures and objectives of the board. Gunnison Valley Health includes Gunnison Valley Hospital, Senior Care Center, Assisted Living, Home Medical Services, Foundation and Gunnison Valley Family Medicine.
Position Qualifications
Education: A Master’s degree in healthcare management or related healthcare field is required.
Experience: Minimum of five years experience in health system and hospital management required; experience in management of long-term
care preferred. Excellent communication, quantitative and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of hospital administration and refined
managerial skills.

Compensation: $5,000 - $6,000 per week, depending on experience.

Benefits Eligibility

Medical, dental, vision, health care FSA, and dependent care FSA: All active employees working 40 or more hours per pay period are eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days of active service.  PRN staff are not initially eligible for benefits, and GVH follows all Affordable Health Care Act Eligibility guidelines.
